Content of the Archive
Data made accessible via the Musawwarat Graffiti Archive includes data newly recorded for the Musawwarat Graffiti Project since 2008 as well as digitised material from the Musawwarat archive at the Department of Northeast African Archaeology and Cultural Studies, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
All fieldwork under the umbrella of the Archaeological Mission to Musawwarat es Sufra (director: Claudia Näser, deputy director: Cornelia Kleinitz) has been undertaken in cooperation with the National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums (NCAM), Khartoum (inspector: Zaroog Bakri Mohamed).
